OPA!

Italian & Greek

Our promise

From our family to yours.

There was a time where we didn't know what the future would bring. We wanted a fresh start. We wanted something new, together, as a family. In 2019, we officially changed our name to OPA! Italian & Greek dining.

We opened in September of 2020. What a time to remember. Most would call this the COVID era.

So, where does Italian & Greek come from? Chef and owner Rigo Ochoa has over 30 years of experience in the food industry. Rigo has worked with Greeks all his life. Eventually, he would open his own restaurant in 2001. In 2019, Rigo and his son Jon changed the business name and put together a brand new menu.

Jon graduated from Drake University in 2016. Jon has always had the dream of running a restaurant next to his father. Jon says, "It all fell in place. The opportunity was there and we took advantage of it. This place is like a child of mine. I'm watching it grow with the people I love most. My mother works here, my father supports me, and my sister helps serve. Its the perfect story. I'm living everything I wanted as a boy. I'm glad it finally happened."

So, what does OPA mean? Its an expression of good joy and cheer. We're fun and exciting. We live the OPA name. Join my family. Help support local. Say it LOUD and PROUD.

OPA!!!!
